Triptii Dimri recalls she would 'go home and cry' during Laila Majnu!
Prior to her recent rise to stardom with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, Triptii Dimri starred in a number of films. She debuted in 2024 in the movie Bad Newz, costarring Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Hindi movies of the year. It's difficult to imagine that she didn't know the fundamentals of acting until you see her work on screen. The actress would cry when she got home from filming Laila Majnu because she didn't understand what her co-star or director were talking about.

Vicky Vidya Ka Is Not Right Video is Triptii Dimri’s forthcoming hilarious caper featuring Rajkummar Rao. During the film's promotion, the actress mentioned that she traveled from her native of Garhwal in Uttarakhand to Mumbai without realizing the complexities of acting. Her constant desire was to try something new. The Qala actress said to a tabloid that she was never academically good and declared to her parents that she would give modeling a try. Her parents were originally afraid of her decision because she was a quiet and introverted girl who never left Delhi, even though she longed to move to the city of dreams.

She made the decision to try her hand at entertainment even though her parents were not supportive of her choice. She landed a part in the 2017 movie Poster Boys years later. But because she didn't know the "A" of acting, working with Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas Talpade was challenging for her. Hence, according to her, she didn’t perform well in it. The Bulbbul actress talked about landing Laila Majnu in the chat, even though she was turned down the first time.

Triptii would attend workshops with co-star Avinash Tiwary and director Sajid Ali after landing the part. She would sit there looking blank and ignorant while they talked about the film's characterizations, acting, and backstory. “I would go home and cry, thinking, ‘Am I doing the right thing?’ because I didn’t understand what they were saying or their language,” The actress said, adding that she felt like giving up at times.
